After a delicious breakfast, our experienced guide will pick you up from your hotel and give you a briefing on the day ahead. You will then drive to Arusha National Park, where you will check in and begin your hike to Miriakamba Hut.
Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, and even elephants. You will also pass through a beautiful forest and cross the Ngare Nanyuki River.
After about 4 hours of hiking, you will reach Mayo Falls, where you will have a picnic lunch. Then, you will continue on to the Arched Fig Tree, a unique tree that spans the trail like a gate.
From the Arched Fig Tree, it is another 1.5-2 hours to Miriakamba Hut, where you will spend your first night on Mount Meru.
After a hearty breakfast, you will set off on your second day of trekking on Mount Meru. The trail leads through dense forest with mosses and beard lichens. After about 2-3 hours, you will reach the viewpoint of Mgongo wa Tembo (Elephant Ridge), which offers stunning views of the large, burst crater.
The ascent to Elephant Ridge is partly over wooden steps, as the path can be steep and slippery in some places. After taking in the views, you will continue on to Saddle Hut. Just before reaching the hut, the landscape changes from mountain rainforest to light bushland.
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to take a detour to the summit of Little Meru (3820m). This 1-1.5 hour hike is rewarded with breathtaking views of the national park and Mount Kilimanjaro.
Back at Saddle Hut, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and prepare for your summit attempt tomorrow.
After a light breakfast and a hot drink, you will set off on your summit attempt at around 2am. The trail leads through bushland to Rhino Point, where the path becomes more challenging and includes some easy climbing passages.
From Rhino Point, you will continue along the long north ridge to the summit of Socialist Peak, which you will reach around sunrise. The sunrise views from the summit are simply breathtaking, with the sun rising behind Mount Kilimanjaro and the plains of Meru glowing in an orange-red light.
After enjoying the views, you will descend back to Saddle Hut for lunch and a hot drink. From Saddle Hut, you will continue on to Miriakamba Hut, where you will arrive in the early afternoon. Here you can rest and enjoy your summit success.
After a hearty breakfast, you will set off on your final day of trekking on Mount Meru. The trail leads down the Northern Route, where you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, baboons, and even elephants.
After about 2-3 hours of hiking, you will reach Momella Gate, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. This marks the end of your adventurous The Ultimate 4 Days Mount Meru Trekking tour, you will surely take home the life time memories
