At 8:00 am, you will be picked up from your hotel and begin a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Northern Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. The park follows the course of the Tarangire River, which cuts through the floor of the Great Rift Valley and serves as a vital lifeline for wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Tarangire is famous for its vast elephant herds, often regarded as among the largest in Africa, as well as its dramatic landscapes of rolling hills, ancient giant baobab trees, open savannah, and expansive seasonal swamps in the southern region. After breakfast, you will depart for an exciting safari to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and ecologically diverse wildlife destinations. Nestled dramatically at the base of the Great Rift Valley western escarpment, the park is dominated by a vast yet shallow soda lake that covers nearly two-thirds of its surface.

After breakfast, you will depart your camp and travel through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the legendary Serengeti National Park. This scenic drive offers stunning highland views before opening into the vast, wildlife-rich Serengeti plains, famous for their incredible game viewing and dramatic landscapes.

Along the way, you will pass Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most important prehistoric archaeological sites, often referred to as the Cradle of Mankind. The journey continues across open scrublands and savannahs, where your first Serengeti wildlife sightings may begin even before reaching your lodge.

Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you will enjoy your first game viewing experiences before settling in for dinner and an overnight stay at Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge, perfectly positioned to offer sweeping views over the endless plains.

After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s largest and most iconic wildlife reserve. Spanning nearly 6,000 square miles, the Serengeti features an extraordinary diversity of ecosystems, including vast grassland plains, rolling savannahs, dramatic granite kopjes, wooded hills, and riverine forests.

On the final day of your Tanzania safari, you will depart early in the morning, carrying a picnic lunch, and travel in a customized 4×4 safari vehicle to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend over 2,000 feet onto the crater floor for an unforgettable game drive in what is often described as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.”

This vast volcanic caldera is one of the most unique wildlife destinations on Earth. Its rich grasslands, freshwater lakes, swamps, acacia forests, and permanent water sources support an extraordinary concentration of animals year-round.
