Arrival in Arusha

Start your 9-day luxury Tanzania safari and Zanzibar beach vacation in style with a meet-and-greet at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our experienced staff will answer all your questions about your upcoming safari and provide you with a short briefing. You will then be transferred to your accommodation at Mount Meru Hotel, where you can relax and prepare for your adventure.

Tarangire National Park

On the second day of your luxury Tanzania safari, you will explore Tarangire National Park. This park is home to a large variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more. It is especially known for its large herds of elephants, which can number in the thousands.

The park is also home to a number of migratory wildlife species, which return to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River during the dry season. This is a great time to see animals such as wildebeest, zebras, elands, and oryx.

You will spend the day on a game drive, searching for wildlife in your private 4x4 vehicle. Your guide will be an expert in the park and will help you to find the best spots to see animals. You will also stop at some of the park's scenic viewpoints, where you can enjoy the views of the savannah and the Tarangire River.

In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. You will be staying in a luxurious tented camp, which will give you a taste of the African bush.

Serengeti Central (Cental Seronera)

After breakfast, we will depart from Karatu and drive to the Serengeti National Park. This park is one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world, and is home to an incredible variety of animals, including the "Big Five" (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos).

We will spend the day on a game drive, searching for wildlife. Our guide will be an expert in the park and will help us to find the best spots to see animals. We may also see other animals such as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest.

In the evening, we will return to our lodge for dinner and overnight. We will be staying in a luxurious tented camp, which will give us a taste of the African bush.

Serengeti Central (Seronera)

After breakfast, we will depart from your lodge and drive to the Central Serengeti National Park. Along the way, we will stop for a picnic lunch and a game drive. We may see a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.

In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Central Serengeti National Park, which is home to the annual wildebeest migration. This is a truly amazing sight to see, as millions of wildebeest and zebras migrate across the savannah in search of fresh grazing. We will spend the afternoon watching the migration and searching for other wildlife.

In the evening, you will be taken to Acacia lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will depart from the Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to an incredible variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.

You will descend into the crater for a day tour. The crater floor is a lush and green oasis, and it is home to a large number of animals. We may see lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals, as well as black rhinoceros, zebras, and wildebeest.

You will also have a picnic lunch on the crater floor. This is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenery.

In the afternoon, you will transfer to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Flight to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will depart from the your hotel and drive to Arusha. You will have your lunch in Arusha. In the afternoon, you will fly from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a beautiful island off the coast of Tanzania, and it is known for its white-sand beaches, clear blue waters, and delicious seafood.

You will arrive in Zanzibar in the evening and check into our hotel, where you will have dinner and overnight.

The flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Zanzibar takes approximately 1 hour. Zanzibar is a great place to relax and enjoy the beach, and it is a perfect way to end your safari.

Zanzibar Beach

After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient city is a fascinating blend of Arab, African, and European cultures, and it is home to a wealth of historical and architectural landmarks.

You will visit the House of Wonders, the Sultan's Palace, and the Old Fort. You will also wander through the narrow streets and alleyways of the city, and we will see some of the famous Zanzibar doors.

After lunch, you will drive to the countryside to visit the spice plantations. This is a great opportunity to learn about the different spices that are grown on Zanzibar, and to experience the rich aroma of spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.

You will also have the opportunity to taste some of the spices, and to purchase some souvenirs. In the evening, we will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Full Day at the beach

Serena Hotel Zanzibar is a perfect hub for a romantic holiday. You will be greeted by a blaze of color as you sweep down the imposing driveway, saluted by a Masai warrior as you pass through the entrance gate. Mature coconut palms swinging in the breeze, white sandy beach, beautifully landscaped gardens, traditional style round chalets with pitched well-attracting walls and roof, a stunning waterfall feature, and the largest swimming pool in Zanzibar are just some of the sights that await you. 

Departure

On your last day, enjoy the rest of your stay by relaxing in the pool or in the beach while taking in as much sunshine as you can. In the afternoon, we will take you to the airport for your onward destination/Flight back home.
