After arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport, a representative will be waiting to welcome you into Tanzania before transferring you to your lodge.

Lying on the gently rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru is the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha. It is here on the outskirts of this town, hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, that's where you will find Arusha Coffee Lodge, a perfect haven for relaxation either before or after any East African safari.

The homely feel of the Lodge is by no means accidental as the origins of the homestead continue to emit glimpses of times-gone-by, also a certified property of responsible tourism.

Wake up to a hearty breakfast at Arusha Coffee Lodge before your transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater in a 4x4 safari vehicle, as you make you way to the crater you will enjoy a prearranged game drive through Lake Manayara National Park, with a packed lunch, this is a great way to kick start your safari.

You will be staying, for the next 2 nights, at The Manor situated at Ngorongoro, in the northwest of Tanzania. Crossing the Rift Valley and climbing the steppe onto the green and rolling hills south of the Ngorongoro Crater, there lies a truly undeniable surprise and one that will be a home away from home.

On this day, we will start very early in the morning, equipped with a picnic lunch. We will descend 2000ft down to the crater floor on our 4×4-wheel drive vehicle for game viewing. Let’s explore this Garden of Eden. Ngorongoro is a huge and deep volcanic crater. There’s rich pasture, swamps, forest, and permanent water on the crater floor that’s why wildlife here is so diverse and numerous

This morning you will wake up and enjoy you final breakfast at The Manor before being transferred to the Serengeti National Park. As you make your way through the Serengeti National Park, to your next location, enjoying yet another prearranged scenic game drive, with a packed lunch.

The next stop on your family safari is Serengeti Pioneer Camp, here you will spend 3 nights enjoying morning and afternoon game drives though the Serengeti National Park. Located in South Central Serengeti - Tanzania - (within the Moru Kopjes area), Serengeti Pioneer Camp is ideally situated to offer superlative access to the annual migration and the ‘Big 5’ with sweeping views overlooking Moru Kopjes, Lake Magadi and the endless plains.

Whilst at Serengeti Pioneer Camp, enjoy day long game drives, with bush picnics, sundowners, camp-fire dining and much more. The iconic Serengeti is home to lots of wildlife.

After breakfast, you will have a full-day game viewing at Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, Tanzania's largest national park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains, savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and river line forests. The Grumeti, Mbalageti, and Mara River systems serve as critical water sources and are often excellent sites for wildlife viewing. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators, including cheetah and leopard, as well as large pride of lions and clans of hyenas and the Big Five.

After breakfast in the Serengeti, you will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar via Arusha. You will then transfer to the Northern Coast of Zanzibar.

Touch down in Zanzibar Airport where you will be welcomed by a Oreteti Safaris Ltd representative ready to accompany you to Gold Zanzibar, situated in Kendwa, one of the most beautiful and calm spots of Zanzibar, on the Northwest coast of Zanzibar. This beach house in provides a refined context and excellent services in a breathtaking location.

We have developed a special Spice Tour with in-depth information not only about spices but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description of their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After this educational tour, we have a sumptuous lunch at our guides’ home, where you can taste the spices and fruits.

After lunch, we take you to your beach resort.

On the way, you pass Jozani Forest, the last habitat of the rare endemic Red Colobus Monkey. With a local guide, you stroll through Jozani Chwaka National Park and look at the rare monkeys. You also have the option to wander down the boardwalk to the fascinating Mangrove Ecosystem.

Right at the hotel, the beach that surrounds this area is truly stunning. Azure waters and white sands are what awaits those that come here. The only drawback really is that many of the hotels have had to perch on the coral cliffs that run north from the village and, as such, lose their beaches at high tide. Generally, however, this is not a problem and, with the small backpacker community in the village, this is a great place to head if you like to get out of the hotel for a drink or two.
