At Rivertrees Country Inn, lodging:
Rivertrees Country Inn blends understated beauty with contemporary efficiency, paying homage to its history as a former German colonial farm and coffee estate. You may hear the Usa River rushing as you awaken in your farmhouse-style room. You can eat a substantial breakfast under a thatched canopy outside.
Rivertrees Country Inn
Fly to a personal wildlife sanctuary in the eastern Serengeti for a brief, picturesque flight. A Maasai storyteller will explain the myths of her people as you hike through the refuge during the day, and a moonlight drive will allow you to see nocturnal animals.
Accommodations at Eastern Serengeti Nyumba:
Start your day with magnificent views of the wild savannah of the eastern Serengeti environment. You'll appreciate the camp's conveniences after a day of exploration, especially a hot shower in your private bathroom. Enjoy a substantial dinner that is freshly prepared with regional products while talking with the helpful staff and your other travelers about the day's adventures.
Eastern Serengeti Nyumba
The Eastern Serengeti Nature Refuge, which shares a border with the Serengeti to the west and Lake Natron to the east, provides a unique opportunity to witness the best wildlife and scenery in the area. This exclusive, 10,000-acre location is a magnificent illustration of the value of ecological preservation.
One of the few locations in northern Tanzania where you can go on walking safaris with a wildlife scout is here. You can journey across the Serengeti wilderness together in search of animal tracks and other traces of life. Another activity that is prohibited in national parks is night wildlife drives, during which you can observe nocturnal animal behavior.
This region has exceptionally large populations of giraffes; in fact, a curious visitor gave the region the nickname "Giraffe Country.". In addition, wildebeest, eland, impala, and even aardvarks can be seen here.
Eastern Serengeti Nyumba Camp
Go to the famous Serengeti, where granite kopjes and acacia trees dot the grassy swaths. Daily possibilities to see Tanzania's most magnificent wildlife, including large predators, as well as dramatic moments in the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras, are provided by the Serengeti.
At Serengeti Nyumbani Camps, lodging:
These seasonal campgrounds are placed thoughtfully around the Serengeti to put us in the middle of the wildlife migration. With roomy tents, cozy mattresses, and private toilets, you can unwind as the sounds of the local wildlife fill your ears. You don't need to worry either because your stay won't hurt the environment thanks to eco-friendly features like solar lighting.
Serengeti Nyumbani Camps
One of Tanzania's biggest national parks, the Serengeti features a variety of landforms and habitats, including grassy plains, wetlands, lakes, savannahs, and highlands. The largest wildebeest and zebra migration passes through this area and depending on the time of year, you may get the chance to see hundreds of animals scavenging for food and water. You will travel to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay after a lengthy game drive.
Nyumbani Tented Camps
Additional game drives in the Serengeti National Park are scheduled for the entire day. The Serengeti is home to a wide variety of animals, including impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos, but it is most known for its enormous herds of zebras and wildebeest that migrate across it. The journey of the animals changes from year to year and is influenced by rainfall. The animals migrate in November and December from the northern region, which is characterized by hills and woods, to the southern region's grassy plains. They move back to the north during the lengthier rainy season, which lasts from April to June. In addition to the herds that are migrating, you might also have the opportunity to witness the nearby predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Nyumbani Tented Camps
Ngorongoro Crater, which is only 10 miles across, was created when a volcano burst. You might be able to see all five of the Big 5 in one afternoon because it now has the densest predator population in all of Africa and is a self-sustaining environment. You may access the Crater's wildlife-rich floor first thing in the morning by camping on its rim.
Ngorongoro Nyumba accommodations:
Ngorongoro Nyumba, located on the easternmost point of the Ngorongoro Crater's rim, provides the best access to the crater while still remaining secluded and remote. At this camp, the weather can drop as low as 40 degrees, so be sure to dress warmly. Don't worry though; our chefs will warm you up with a traditional Tanzanian supper.

Visit Gibb's Farm at night and enjoy it throughout the day as you explore the highlands' lush, rolling hills. Travel + Recreation Gibb's Farm, an 80-year-old operating coffee estate that offers farm-to-table meals, opulent accommodations with private verandas, and optional spa treatments, is the top-ranked African Safari Lodge on the World's Best List.
A lodging option at Gibb's Farm:
At Gibb's Farm (#1 African Safari Lodge on Travel & Leisure's 2017 World's Best List), fresh food, fresh air, and fresh perspectives abound. After long days of exploring, unwind in your eco-friendly cottage, which is surrounded by the farm's verdant grounds. Take advantage of the outdoor shower, in-room spa services, farm-to-table eating, and the attentive staff's knowledge of the area's culture.
Gibb's Farm
We'll head to Tarangire National Park after a delicious breakfast. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, is the source of its name. During the dry season, this "river of warthogs" is the only source of water for the local fauna. The vegetation, which includes elephant grass and acacia trees, is fairly dense in some areas. Elephant population densities in Tarangire National Park are among the highest in all of Tanzania. It is a stunning and unique place to explore due to its sparse vegetation, which is scattered with baobab and acacia trees. Numerous predators, including lions and leopards, are closely monitoring these animals. Tarangire National Park is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on earth.
Drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands after lunch. Gib's Farm Lodge will be the location for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stays.
Gib's Farm Lodge
At Lake Eyasi, there are about 1,000 tribesmen who live essentially in the same way that our Stone Age predecessors did and who are entirely dependent on hunting and gathering for their subsistence. You will begin your journey by getting to meet the Datoga blacksmiths who create jewelry in a very rustic setting. Their most valuable creations are the knives and arrowheads they exchange for their daily catches with the Hadzabe (antelopes, gazelles and birds as well as fruits, roots and honey from the baobab trees).
You will have the chance to take a leisurely stroll around Lake Eyasi, a seasonally shallow, saline lake at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley, after lunch. After that, you'll be driven to the camp in time to see a spectacular sunset.
Gib's Farm Lodge
You'll have a farewell lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge, so proceed to Arusha. Before your journey home, unwind in a day room.
